YO! Hartford

YO! HARTFORD is a major youth development initiative serving some 1400 youth, ages 14-21 who live in the inner city of Hartford. YO! HARTFORD provides support, guidance and a climate that promotes the completion of secondary school education. These efforts are combined with job training and placement of participants. The program employs a life-skills approach with techniques aimed at moving participants through a continuum from basic awareness through training that fosters permanent work-force participation.
